I’ve been traveling back and forth to Italy for over 20 years, both on my own, and while working as a trip developer for an adventure travel company. For the past several years, I’ve been traveling with my children in tow, and have experienced the country from a whole new perspective.
Indeed Italy is a great place for kids. But it’s not always kid-friendly. Choosing the best accommodation for a family, finding activities of interest to teenagers, avoiding the crowds, navigating trains and buses, or even finding a baby changing station are just a few of the challenges families face in the land of La Dolce Vita.
Based on my experiences traveling both with children and without, and planning travel to Italy for a living, I want to share what I’ve learned along the way, and provide families links to resources, articles and helpful tips that will make traveling with kids easier.
Buona vacanza!
